Google has confirmed that its first consumer Android XR smart glasses will launch in fall 2026. The company is developing the device with Samsung, Qualcomm, Gentle Monster, and Warby Parker.
Two models planned with audio and display options
Two models are planned: one with audio only and another with integrated displays. Both will heavily integrate the Gemini AI assistant. Features include navigation, hands-free messaging, photo and video capture, and live translation.
The glasses are scheduled to launch globally in fall 2026.
Based on promo renders, both models appear to feature a battery capacity of at least 0.37 Wh. The renders also suggest light liquid and dust protection, though Google has not officially confirmed these details.
