Samsung is preparing to launch two new foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold Wide, according to leaked specifications. The devices are expected to debut at a Samsung Unpacked event in London on July 22.
Leaked specs reveal two distinct foldable designs
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is said to measure 4.1mm thick and weigh 210g. It would be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The phone reportedly features a 6.5-inch outer display and an 8-inch inner display. Camera specifications include a 200MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP selfie camera. The battery is allegedly 5,000mAh with 45W wired charging.

The Galaxy Z Fold Wide adopts a passport-style design with a 7.6-inch internal display in a 4:3 aspect ratio. It is rumored to weigh around 200g. The camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The battery is reportedly 4,800mAh with 45W charging.
The Z Fold 8 would be the thinnest and lightest foldable in Samsung's lineup, while the Z Fold Wide targets users who prefer a wider aspect ratio. Both devices are expected to support 45W charging, a significant upgrade over previous models.
The information comes from TechManiacs and Seoul Economic Daily. Samsung has not confirmed the launch date or the specifications. The battery capacity of the Z Fold 8 and the design of the Z Fold Wide remain unconfirmed by the company.
