Xiaomi will release a new iteration of its Xuanjie chip this year. The company's president, Lu Weibing, confirmed the launch. He described the chip as having very strong comprehensive performance.
New chip promises significant performance gains
The new chip will be built on TSMC's 3nm process. It will use Arm's latest CPU and GPU IP architectures. Compared to the previous generation, overall computing power and energy efficiency will be significantly improved.
Xiaomi has also prepared a flagship device with high completion to pair with the new chip. The device is ready for the chip, according to Lu Weibing.
Lei Jun previously stated that the Xuanjie O1 is a 3nm flagship SoC. He said only four companies worldwide can make flagship SoCs, with Xiaomi being the only one in mainland China. Rumors suggest the new chip might be named Xuanjie O3, skipping O2, but Lu Weibing indicated those rumors are not accurate. Speculation about the first device, such as the Xiaomi MIX Fold 5 or MIX5, is also likely unreliable.
