AMD has announced that its FidelityFX Super Resolution 4.1 upscaling technology will be available for RDNA 3 and RDNA 2 GPUs. The RX 7000 series will receive the update first, followed by the RX 6000 series.
FSR 4.1 rollout begins July 2026
FSR 4.1 for the RX 7000 series begins rolling out in July 2026 with support for over 300 games. The RX 6000 series is slated to receive FSR 4.1 in early 2027. AMD claims the update brings sharper visuals and smoother gameplay to RX 6000-series cards.
The rollout for RX 7000 series starts globally in July 2026. RX 6000 series users can expect the update in early 2027.
FSR 4 uses machine learning for upscaling, similar to Nvidia DLSS. AMD's Jack Huynh said the company powers over 1 billion gaming devices worldwide. It remains unclear whether all FSR 4.1 features will be available on older hardware.
