Thunderbird announced the U8A Smart monitor series on April 20, 2024. The lineup includes two models with different screen sizes. The 27-inch variant carries the model name 27U8A Smart. The larger 31.5-inch version is designated as the 32U8A Smart Pro. Both monitors feature a 4K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate.
The 27-inch model utilizes a QD-Mini LED panel with 1196 backlight zones. Its peak brightness reaches 1200 nits. The 31.5-inch model expands the backlight zone count to 2304 zones. This larger version achieves a peak brightness of 2200 nits. Thunderbird states that the 27-inch model can switch to an FHD resolution at 320Hz.
Thunderbird integrated a built-in smart TV system into both monitors. The system runs on a quad-core A73 CPU with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Both models include a pair of 5W speakers. The audio system holds Dolby Audio certification. The 27U8A Smart and 32U8A Smart Pro both feature two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 connector.

The 31.5-inch model adds a USB Type-C port that supports 90W power delivery. Thunderbird equipped the monitors with KVM functionality for dual-machine control. The displays support DC dimming and include eye care features. The 27U8A Smart is available for 2499 CNY. The 32U8A Smart Pro is priced at 3999 CNY.
