MINISFORUM has launched the M2 mini PC in Japan. The company announced the new device on May 9, 2026. Sales began on the same day through direct channels.
Memory support includes two DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM slots allowing up to 128GB of RAM installation.
The system features an Intel Core Ultra 7 356H processor. This chip provides 16 cores and 16 threads. It delivers a combined AI performance of 90 TOPS. The NPU contributes 50 TOPS while the GPU adds 40 TOPS. MINISFORUM states the device can run large language models locally.
Memory support includes two DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM slots. Users can install up to 128GB of RAM. Storage options consist of two M.2 2280 slots with a maximum capacity of 8TB. Connectivity includes dual 2.5 Gigabit LAN ports, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. Display outputs feature HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and USB4. The unit supports simultaneous 4K output on three screens. The chassis measures 130 by 127 by 50 mm and weighs 520 grams.
The pre-configured model with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD starts at 99,999 JPY. This price is approximately $638. The device is currently available for purchase in Japan.
The M2 targets users seeking compact hardware with strong AI capabilities. The high TOPS rating distinguishes it from previous mini PC generations. MINISFORUM has not confirmed availability in other regions.
