Pearl Abyss officially launched "Charting the Unknown" for Crimson Desert on October 29, introducing new romantic, marriage, castle management, and oceanic discovery elements. In a major oversight, base game still has no native save system for an outfit loadout, meaning you have to put each piece of armor, accessories, etc on by hand. To remedy this major oversight, modder lucsOli has published a mod on Nexus Mods to solve the issue called "Outfit Loadouts".
Community tool adds gear management to expansion update
The mod supports 9 loadouts for each character. With it, you can hit one key or pick from the wheel to get your outfit on. It directly incorporates into the character wheel in game and even displays on screen confirmation when applying outfit loadout. You are able to save loadouts for main characters Kliff, Damiane, Oongka.
It solves a manual problem in the game that would have to be done before in order to change gear loadouts while playing. The launch of the expansion coincides with the community solution for a glaring usability problem in game.
In a direct quote, here's what modder lucsOli had to say about the mod: "With Crimson Desert, you have to individually put everything on to change outfits. Outfit Loadouts is a mod that saves the armor and accessories a character wears as an outfit, and lets you put the entire outfit on with a single key, or single pick on the wheel." 9 slots.
Per character. That's a lot of flexibility if you like changing your loadouts on the fly. On screen confirmation is nice so you can tell which outfit loadout you are currently using.
A lot of similar themes around balance, stability came up in the last update for Crimson Desert that we covered. The addition of this expansion continuing the theme of social and management mechanics that add a lot of complexity to the game world. The mod solves a mechanical void that the actual release didn't touch. If you're a player that needs to manage multiple gear loadouts, now there's a tool to quickly accomplish that.
