A mad GIGABYTE user is complaining that they won't help him with unstable Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPU issues. The hardware vendor is basically just telling the guy their product is no longer in warranty and that he needs to go to a shop in his area to make the repair himself. This is a tough look for the vendor to not be able to help here on the hardware stability front.

GIGABYTE directs owner to local repair shop after driver updates trigger crashes
It all started when users updated to the AMD Adrenalin driver software 26.6.2 and 26.8.1. GIGABYTE RX 7900 XTX PC builds began encountering driver timeouts, black screens, and crashing games. On the old AMD Adrenalin Driver 25.9.1 all was good.
There's a strong suspicion that the culprit here is there not being the latest VBIOS firmware in use on GIGABYTE hardware. GIGABYTE didn't have a firmware update for their higher end RX 7000 GPUs as partner Sapphire did. The specific user here is pointing out how the crashes are related to not having this firmware update.
It's not that clear cut based on technical digging. VBIOS and Adrenalin Driver have different functions so it's not clearly proven to be a direct cause. However, since GIGABYTE pointed the user to a local repair shop and the vendor said it's out of warranty, this is tough on the owner not to have official help on this stability issue.
Last time we talked about the latest Radeon RX 7900 XTX update, some of these balance and stability things were around. That's where it's a big miss that GIGABYTE didn't release the latest VBIOS firmware for their RX 7900 XTX GPUs as partner Sapphire did. So for those having instability problems with AMD Adrenalin Drivers 26.6.2 / 26.8.1 on GIGABYTE RX 7900 XTX GPUs you might have to drop down to 25.9.1 driver version.
