Thieves specifically targeted the trailers because they displayed Nvidia logos, expecting to find expensive GPUs inside. Company spokesperson Lauren Kwan confirmed that PlusAI uses simulated loads in its trailers to assist with research and development testing.

The theft came to light when an executive spotted the trailers near a workplace half a mile from the storage warehouse.
