Cooler Master GX Platinum Power Supplies Launch in China with 12-Year Warranty

Cooler Master has launched the GX Platinum series of fully modular power supplies in China. The announcement arrived on May 9, 2024, introducing three new models to the market. The lineup includes the GX Platinum 850W, 1000W, and 1300W variants. These units are now available for purchase in the Chinese market.

Pricing starts at 539 CNY for the 850W model.

The power supplies adhere to the ATX 3.1 and PCIe CEM 5.1 standards. Each unit measures 140mm in length, which is a standard dimension for ATX form factors. The series earned 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency certification. All models utilize full Japanese capacitors for power delivery. The internal circuit boards feature a full conformal coating to resist moisture, dust, and corrosion.

Spec comparison

Cooler Master equipped the units with sleeved modular cables. The cooling system relies on a bearing fan. This fan automatically stops spinning when the load drops below 40 percent. The 1300W model includes a second native 12V-2×6 connector for high-power graphics cards. The power supplies offer protection mechanisms including OVP, OPP, SCP, OCP, UVP, and OTP. They operate within a temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius.

Pricing for the series in China starts at 539 CNY (about $79.08). The 1000W model costs 699 CNY (about $103). The top-tier 1300W variant is priced at 899 CNY (about $132). All three models come with a 12-year warranty from the manufacturer.

Cooler Master has not confirmed the launch window for regions outside of China. The company has not disclosed availability dates for other markets. The product focuses on standard ATX cases and modern PCIe power requirements.
