It is unclear which Apple products will use Intel chips. The US government played a key role in the deal. According to sources cited by the Wall Street Journal, President Trump personally supported the Intel acquisition during a meeting with Tim Cook at the White House.

Apple has not confirmed which products will use Intel chips or when production will begin. The company has not commented on the reported timeline for Mac, iPad, or iPhone chip production.
