TBAI Nex395 Mini PC Launches with 64GB RAM for Around $1,781

TBAI lowered the entry barrier for its flagship Nex395 mini PC by introducing a reduced-specification model. This move gives buyers who need high-end processing power but do not require massive storage a more affordable option. The new configuration starts at 11,999 CNY (around $1,781), which is significantly less than the previous top-tier pricing.

New model features soldered 64GB RAM and AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor

The device runs on the AI Max+ 395 processor, which is built on the Strix Halo architecture. This chip provides 16 Zen 5 cores for heavy multitasking and AI workloads. It also includes the 8060S integrated graphics, which uses the RDNA 3.5 architecture and features 40 compute units.

Specifications

  • Processor: AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 (16 Zen 5 cores)
  • Graphics: Radeon 8060S (RDNA 3.5, 40 CUs)
  • Memory: 64GB LPDDR5X (Soldered)
  • Storage: 1TB SSD (Optional)
  • Connectivity: 2x USB4, 2x 2.5G Ethernet, HDMI, DP

TBAI equipped the new model with 64GB of soldered LPDDR5X memory. Users cannot upgrade or expand this memory after purchase, so the 64GB limit is permanent. The base version ships without any internal storage, while the upgraded model includes a 1TB SSD for an additional 1,000 CNY (around $148).

Connectivity options are robust for a mini form factor. The chassis includes two USB4 Type-C ports, two 2.5G Ethernet ports, and several USB Type-A ports. It also features HDMI, DisplayPort, and a 3.5mm audio jack for display and audio output.

Performance benchmarks show the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 matching the multi-threaded performance of the Core Ultra 9 285HX in Cinebench 2026. The integrated Radeon 8060S graphics also perform on par with a mobile RTX 4070 in synthetic tests. These metrics suggest the device can handle demanding gaming and creative tasks.

The Nex395 with 64GB RAM is now available in China as of August 29, 2024. Buyers can choose between the storage-less version for 11,999 CNY (around $1,781) or the 1TB SSD version for 12,999 CNY (around $1,929). This launch expands the product line without changing the core processor or graphics hardware.
