Nintendo will increase the price of the Switch 2 console by $50 in the US starting September 1, 2026. The console launched at $449.99 on June 5, 2025.
New pricing applies from September 1, 2026
The new US price will be 499.99 USD (about $500). In Canada, the Switch 2 will cost 679.99 CAD (about $498). European pricing is set at 499.99 EUR (about $587).
In Japan, Nintendo will raise prices on the original Switch, Switch OLED, and Switch Lite from May 25, 2025. Nintendo Online membership prices in Japan will also increase from July 1, 2025.
The price increase comes several months after the Switch 2 launch. Nintendo has not commented on the reason for the change. TechSpot reported the pricing details.
