This update represents the last significant content expansion for Ghost of Yotei as the development team transitions to new initiatives.
New story expansion and survival mode arrive with base game bundle
The Complete Edition costs $69.99 and includes the original game, the online co-op Legends mode, and the new story expansion titled Echoes of Sekigahara. Existing owners can upgrade their current copy for $14.99 through the Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition Upgrade option. This pricing structure allows players who already own the base game to access the new narrative content without repurchasing the entire title.
Echoes of Sekigahara introduces a new protagonist named Atsu and explores flashbacks to the Battle of Sekigahara. Players will encounter new weapons, armor sets, and adversaries as they navigate this historical conflict. The expansion also adds Most Wanted, a roguelike survival mode featuring playable characters Atsu, Oyuki, and Nagato. This mode provides a distinct gameplay loop separate from the main campaign.
A free patch launching on October 1 will introduce the Beauty of Yotei screensaver mode and quality-of-life improvements. One key change allows players to maintain the appearance of one armor set while using the stats of another. Those who purchase the Complete Edition before September 30 will receive an early unlock of the Sakai Armor.
