Valve is opening a new round of reservations for the Steam Controller on May 8, 2026. The reservation process starts at 10:00 PST or 07:00 CET. Interested customers must join a queue and will receive an email with a 72-hour window to complete their purchase.
Reservation queue opens with 72-hour purchase window
Each Steam account can reserve only one controller. Users who previously bought a Steam Controller are not eligible. The account must be in good standing and have made at least one purchase before April 27, 2026.
The Steam Controller is priced at 99 USD (about $99.00). Initially, reservations are open only to customers in the US and Canada. Valve plans to expand availability to other regions, including the EU and Australia, at a later date.
This reservation system is similar to previous limited-quantity launches from Valve. The company has not confirmed the total number of controllers available in this round.
