Orange Pi 6 Launch: 45 TOPS AI, LPDDR5 RAM, Dual Ethernet

Orange Pi has introduced the Orange Pi 6, a single-board computer that targets developers and hobbyists seeking high AI processing speeds. The board delivers up to 45 TOPS of system-level AI performance by combining its CPU, NPU, and GPU capabilities.

Developer board features CIX CD8180 SoC with dedicated neural processing unit for machine learning tasks.

The device runs on the CIX CD8180 SoC, which houses 12 processing cores for general computing tasks. A dedicated neural processing unit within that chip provides 28.8 TOPS to handle machine learning workloads efficiently.

System memory options include LPDDR5 configurations in 8 GB, 16 GB, and 24 GB capacities to suit different workload demands. Storage expands through two M.2 2280 SSD slots that connect via PCIe 4.0 lanes for fast data transfer speeds.

Networking capabilities feature dual 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet ports to support high-bandwidth local area connections. The device is designed to support edge artificial intelligence workloads and small-form-factor computing tasks.
