Micro Center in the US has opened pre-orders for the AMD Strix Halo Mini PC Developer Kit. The developer kit allows creators to test high-performance AI hardware before final consumer models arrive.

Micro Center now accepts orders for the high-performance Ryzen AI Max+ 395 hardware platform
The system runs on the new Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor paired with integrated Radeon 8060S graphics. Developers can choose between a Linux or Windows 11 Pro configuration when they place their order.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, HDMI 2.1, and a 10Gbps Ethernet port. The kit ships with a 120W power supply to handle the system's energy demands.
The developer kit is priced at $3,999 for both operating system variants. AMD expects shipping dates to be confirmed in the near future as pre-orders begin processing.
