Apple launched the MacBook Neo on March 11, 2025. Customer response has been 'tremendous' since launch, according to Tim Cook. Demand exceeded Apple's expectations and contributed to a record number of first-time Mac buyers last quarter. Supply is currently constrained.
The MacBook Neo features a modified version of the A18 Pro chip used in the iPhone 16 Pro. It is available in four colors: Citrus, Blush, Indigo, and Silver.
Customer response has been tremendous since launch.
In the US, the standard consumer price starts at $599. Students and education institution staff who meet eligibility requirements can purchase it for $499. Current orders on the Apple online store ship in 2-3 weeks.
Tim Cook stated, 'We are focusing on both customers who are using Mac for the first time and those who have been using Mac for a long time.' He also said, 'We couldn't be more satisfied with the current situation.'
The MacBook Neo's strong demand has led to supply constraints. Apple is working to meet the high demand from both new and existing Mac users.
