A Redditor reported that the Corsair GPU Power Bridge melted while connected to an RTX 4090 Founders Edition. The adapter deformed the power connector on the GPU. NVIDIA has started the RMA process for the affected card.

Corsair sells the 12V-2×6 angled adapter for $25. It is rated for up to 105°C and 55A of current, and Corsair markets it with a "High Thermal Endurance" claim.
The user, Dry-Relationship5158, wrote: "My Corsair GPU Power Bridge completely melted along the top row of pins. Because it got so hot, it actually melted and deformed the plastic power plug on my RTX 4090 Founders Edition as well."

CableMod previously discontinued its similar adapter due to failures. The Corsair adapter had no prior reports, so it is either less popular or safer than CableMod's.
