Microsoft's XBOX PC app now supports a new feature called Advanced Shader Delivery through the latest AMD drivers. The update arrives with the release of AMD Adrenalin 26.6.1 WHQL software, bringing faster game loading to compatible systems.
New software update cuts initial loading times by up to ninety-five percent for compatible systems.
The driver update targets all RDNA architecture graphics cards from AMD. This includes older RX 5000 series models alongside current generation RX 7000 and future RX 9000 hardware.
Advanced Shader Delivery allows developers to stream pre-compiled shader data directly to the GPU. Microsoft claims this process cuts initial loading times by up to 95% compared to traditional runtime compilation methods.
The rollout begins with Forza Horizon 6 serving as the first title to utilize the technology. Other games will need developer integration to take advantage of the faster load times.
