Loongson and Mudan Electronics launched the Peony-L laptop in China. The device marks a shift toward domestic hardware for Chinese government and enterprise buyers who need strict data sovereignty.

Device replaces standard Wi-Fi components with dedicated security module for enterprise buyers
The new machine runs on Loongson's 3A6000 processor. It pairs that chip with a dedicated WAPI security module to replace standard Wi-Fi components.
WAPI is the mandatory national wireless LAN security standard in China, designated as GB15629.11 and recognized by ISO. The laptop ships only within China because of this regional requirement.
The system supports domestic operating systems and built-in cryptographic algorithms. It targets state-owned enterprises, financial institutions, and energy sector operators that require secure networks without relying on foreign wireless protocols.
