Intel Adds Seven New Games to Binary Optimization Tool for Core Ultra Series

updated its Binary Optimization Tool on June 8 to support seven additional games. The update brings the total supported titles to 19 and claims an average performance improvement of 12% across the new additions. Gamers using compatible Intel processors can now access these optimizations through a software package update.

Seven new game profiles join the optimization suite with claimed performance gains

The tool works by optimizing compiled game binaries without requiring patches from developers or source code access. It ties directly into Intel Application Optimization and requires users to enable Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology within their system settings. This software component operates between the operating system and the graphics driver to modify execution settings dynamically.

Intel lists up to 27% faster frame rates in Hollow Knight: Silksong as a peak gain from the update. The company tested these figures on a Core Ultra 7 270K Plus system paired with an RTX 5090 at 1080p High settings. The newly added titles include Homeworld 3, Little Nightmares III, Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, The Callisto Protocol, and Warframe.

The update ships as part of Intel Platform Performance Package version 26.06.100.32. Users must enable Advanced Mode in the APO interface to access the new game profiles. Intel notes that performance gains may vary depending on the specific processor and graphics card combination used in a given system.

This release follows earlier updates that expanded support for select Core Ultra 200 and 300 series processors. The tool currently supports Arrow Lake and Panther Lake architectures within the Core Ultra lineup. Players should anticipate ongoing updates as Intel expands its list of supported games in future releases.
