XMG previews its first 18-inch laptop since the XMG P801 in 2011. The company reveals two new models at COMPUTEX 2026: the PRO 18 and the PRO 18 Value Edition. These machines target gamers who need large screens and high refresh rates.
New gaming laptops feature Intel Core Ultra processors and NVIDIA RTX GPUs
The standard PRO 18 pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor with an NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU. The Value Edition swaps in a lower-tier Intel Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus chip and an RTX 5070 GPU with 12GB of video memory.
Both laptops share a 2560×1600 resolution IPS display that covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. The standard PRO 18 runs at a 300Hz refresh rate, while the Value Edition drops to 180Hz.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, Mini DisplayPort 2.1, and a 2.5GbE RJ45 port. These laptops feature Intel Core Ultra processors based on the Arrow Lake-HX architecture to deliver high-end computing power within portable designs.
The PRO 18 line fills a gap left by XMG's previous large-screen machines. The brand has not released an 18-inch laptop since the XMG P801 launched over a decade ago.
