MSI is launching a new high-end power supply that targets users running power-hungry GPUs. The MPG Ai1300TS PCIE5 delivers 1300W of continuous power and includes a dedicated protection feature for the 12V-2×6 connector. Modern graphics cards can draw sudden current spikes that older power supplies may not handle cleanly.
Titanium-rated efficiency and quiet operation
The unit is built around the ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards, ensuring compatibility with the latest hardware. It uses a full-modular cable design, which simplifies installation and improves airflow inside the case. This model is designed for enthusiasts who need stable power for multi-GPU setups or overclocked systems.
Specifications
- Wattage: 1300W
- Efficiency: 80 PLUS Titanium, Cybenetics ETA Titanium
- Form Factor: ATX 3.1, full modular
- Fan: 135mm FDB with zero RPM mode
- Warranty: 12 years
Efficiency ratings are top-tier: the PSU carries both 80 PLUS Titanium and Cybenetics ETA Titanium certifications. It also earned a Cybenetics Lambda A+ noise rating, meaning it runs quietly under load. A 135mm FDB fan with a zero-RPM mode keeps noise low during light use.
GPU SafeGuard+ monitors 12V-2×6 connector
The power supply packs a wide array of connectors: two EPS 8-pin, seven PCIe 6+2-pin, and two native 12V-2×6 connectors for modern GPUs. It also includes eight SATA and four peripheral connectors. Protection circuits cover OVP, OCP, OTP, OPP, SCP, SIP, UVP, and NLO, and MSI backs the unit with a 12-year warranty.
MSI claims the +12V output voltage regulation stays within 1%. The GPU SafeGuard+ system monitors current on the 12V-2×6 connector in real time. If an anomaly is detected, the PSU sounds a buzzer and shows a pop-up alert via MSI Center software, which also provides live power monitoring over USB.
The MPG Ai1300TS PCIE5 goes on sale in Japan on June 12, 2026, priced at 62980 JPY (about $394). Availability in other regions has not been announced. The PSU uses SiC MOSFETs and 100% Japanese 105°C capacitors, components typically found in premium units.
MSI's new PSU combines high wattage, strict voltage regulation, and active connector monitoring in a single package. It offers a combination of Titanium efficiency and real-time GPU power tracking.
