HP has begun selling the EliteBook 8 G2i 13 in Europe, introducing a compact business laptop powered by Intel's latest Panther Lake processor. The new model targets professionals who need portable performance without sacrificing display quality or battery life.

Compact business laptop features Core Ultra 7 and high brightness display
The device features an Intel Core Ultra 7 355 CPU from the Panther Lake family, paired with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM. HP equips the laptop with a 62 Wh battery that supports 100 W charging and keeps the chassis weight at just 1.31 kg.
The display is a 13.3-inch IPS panel offering 1200p resolution, 800 nits of peak brightness, and full sRGB color coverage. HP pairs this screen with an eight-core processor that includes a four-core Xe3 integrated graphics unit for improved visual performance.
HP starts UK pricing at £1,537 for the base configuration with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. The Eurozone version begins at €2,497 but comes with a lower-resolution 400-nit display option in that region.
This release follows HP's recent refresh of the EliteBook 8 series earlier this year using similar Panther Lake silicon. The new G2i model positions itself as a lightweight alternative for mobile business users who prioritize screen brightness and battery endurance over raw processing power.
