The Cine Compact 1 centers around a triple RGB laser light source paired with a pico-PMD panel to deliver native 4K resolution at 60 Hz. The display engine supports HDR formats including Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG within the BT.2020 color space. The projector offers a peak brightness of 1,700 lumens, down from the previous model's 3,000 lumens, yet it can still display images up to 220 inches wide.
Connectivity and smart features are handled by the VIDAA Smart TV interface, which provides direct access to streaming services like Netflix. The device includes Wi-Fi 6 for network connectivity and integrates a pair of 10-watt stereo speakers into its chassis. A rotating stand allows the projector to pivot 360 degrees, enabling flexible placement options for both ceiling and table setups.
Leica plans to release the Cine Compact 1 on June 18, 2026, at a suggested retail price of €1,645. This pricing represents a cost reduction of over 50 percent compared to the original Cine Play 1. It is designed for consumers who want reliable mobile projection without carrying heavy equipment or paying premium prices.
The company markets the device as a compact option for both home viewing and business meetings. Leica highlights how the lighter design and slightly dimmer light source still deliver sharp 4K visuals at 60 Hz. Initial feedback suggests that buyers are eager for a smaller projector that fits well in living rooms.
