AMD's machine-learning upscaling technology now supports over 300 games, a sharp jump from the 30 titles available at launch. The company also used Computex 2026 to announce a professional variant called Radeon AI FSR PRO.

FSR 4.1 update adds Ray Regeneration
FidelityFX Super Resolution 4, or FSR 4, is AMD's latest upscaling solution for Radeon GPUs. It runs on the RX 9000 series and is also coming to older RX 7000 and RX 6000 series cards. The RX 9070 GRE is among the supported models.
The FSR 4.1 update introduced Ray Regeneration, which upgrades ray-traced effects, along with sharper upscaling and better performance in Ultra Performance mode. These improvements help FSR 4 compete more closely with rival upscaling solutions.
Radeon AI FSR PRO targets professionals
FSR 4.1 will arrive on RX 7000 series cards later this year, followed by RX 6000 series support in 2027. The rollout comes via driver updates, so no hardware changes are needed for compatible GPUs.
AMD announced Radeon AI FSR PRO at Computex 2026 for professional applications. It will arrive through a driver update and includes Ray Regeneration alongside Radeon AI Pro R97000 certifications. Details remain scarce, and AMD has not shared a specific release date.

The rapid expansion of FSR 4 support from 30 to over 300 games shows AMD's push to make its upscaling technology widely available. With FSR 4.1 bringing Ray Regeneration to older RDNA architectures, the company is extending the lifespan of its previous-generation GPUs.
