Xiaomi has launched the Smart Door Lock G500 in China. The new lock supports AI 3D structured light facial recognition and fingerprint scanning. It offers ten unlocking methods including passcode, Bluetooth, and NFC.

The lock features a 2.3 MP camera with a 160-degree ultra-wide field of view. It includes a built-in display and integrates with HyperOS Connect. Power comes from a 5000 mAh battery pack plus four AA batteries, providing approximately eight months of runtime.
The Smart Door Lock G500 is priced at 2799 CNY (about $412) and is available now in China.
Xiaomi claims the AI algorithm reduces false alerts from pets and wild animals. The lock is sold through Xiaomi Youpin. Availability outside China has not been announced.
