Wuben X5 Flashlight Launch: Flat USB-C Design with UV, Laser, and White Light

Wuben has introduced the X5, a flat USB-C flashlight designed for everyday carry tasks. The device combines white illumination with ultraviolet light and laser options in a single compact unit. Users can choose between a replaceable lithium-ion battery or standard AAA cells to power the light.

Flat USB-C body features replaceable battery or AAA cells for versatile power options.

The device is roughly 14 centimeters in length and weighs about 130 grams. The unit has a durable aluminum body with an IP65 rating to protect against dust and water ingress. The included reversible clip enables secure mounting on various surfaces like bags, belts, or pockets.

Turbo mode delivers 1250 lumens for one minute before stepping down to 400 lumens. The LED produces neutral white light with a 5000K color temperature. Users can select lower brightness levels that provide longer runtimes up to 200 hours in moonlight mode.

The device includes a Class 1 green laser with a 50-hour runtime and an optional Class 3R laser offering 24 hours of operation. Ultraviolet light provides a two-hour runtime for inspection tasks. The rotary dial cycles through lighting modes and locks out unnecessary features, leaving the laser to be activated by a dedicated button.

The Wuben X5 ships now at approximately 80 USD. A side-mounted USB-C port is shielded by a protective sliding cap. Standard AAA batteries reduce maximum output to 850 lumens when used instead of the lithium-ion cell.
