TCL's FFALCON sub-brand has introduced the Thunderobot Q5AD YYDS Edition gaming monitor in China. The display targets budget-conscious gamers with a focus on high refresh rates and fast response times.
Budget-friendly high refresh rate display for gamers
The 24.5-inch panel delivers a 1080p resolution and features a CSOT Fast IPS screen. It operates at a native 280Hz refresh rate, which overclocks to 300Hz via DisplayPort. The monitor maintains a 1ms gray-to-gray response time and covers 99% of the sRGB color space alongside 93% DCI-P3. Factory calibration ensures a Delta E value under 2 for accurate colors.
The unit costs 599 yuan (about $88) CNY (about $8,820) in China. Global pricing and availability remain unannounced at this time. The monitor includes AMD FreeSync Premium support and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility to reduce screen tearing during gameplay.
Connectivity consists of a single DisplayPort 1.4 input, one HDMI 2.0 port limited to 240Hz, and a standard headphone jack. Users can adjust the tilt angle between -5 and 15 degrees on the included stand. Hardware-level low blue light filtering and DC dimming help minimize eye strain during extended use.
TCL has not confirmed any launch dates or pricing details for markets outside of China.
