SwitchBot Lock Vision Pro and Lock Vision: World's First 3D Facial Recognition Smart Lock

SwitchBot has introduced the Lock Vision series, which it claims is the world's first smart deadbolt lock with 3D structured-light facial recognition. The series includes two models: the Lock Vision and the Lock Vision Pro.

3D facial recognition unlocks in under one second

The lock projects over 20,000 infrared points to create millimeter-level accurate 3D facial maps and unlocks in under one second. It offers multiple unlock methods, including app, NFC, password, voice, smartwatch, geofencing, physical key, palm vein, and fingerprint. The device is powered by a 10,000 mAh battery rated for 12 months of use and supports Matter-over-Wi-Fi. It also has IP65 water and dust resistance.

The Lock Vision Pro is priced at 229.99 USD (about $230) in the US and 299.99 CAD (about $219) in Canada. The standard Lock Vision costs 169.99 USD (about $170) in the US and 229.99 CAD (about $168) in Canada. Both models are available for purchase through SwitchBot's official website and Amazon.

SwitchBot positions the Lock Vision series as a security-focused smart lock with features such as tamper alerts, forced unlock protection, and automatic lockout after repeated failed attempts. The company has not confirmed the exact launch window for other regions.
