MSI introduced the PRO MAX OLED 271UPJW12, a 27-inch 4K monitor that uses inkjet printed OLED technology. This launch matters because it brings high-resolution OLED displays to a standard desktop size for the first time. Buyers looking for sharp text and vibrant colors get a new option that balances resolution with screen real estate.
Inkjet printed panel delivers 4K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate
The monitor features a 120Hz refresh rate and a pixel density of 164 PPI. MSI optimized the RGB subpixel arrangement to reduce color fringing, which improves text clarity. The panel covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut with a Delta E of 2 or less.
Specifications
- Panel Size: 27 inches
- Resolution: 4K
- Technology: IJP OLED
- Refresh Rate: 120Hz
- HDR Certification: VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500
MSI equipped the display with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. The panel reaches 1000 nits of peak brightness in HDR mode. The company also upgraded the anti-glare coating to 3H hardness, making it 2.5 times more scratch-resistant than previous 2H standards.
Eye comfort features include TÜV certified hardware low blue light and flicker-free operation. The monitor holds Eyesafe 3.0 certification, which limits harmful blue light emission to under 20%. MSI added USB-C connectivity with 15W power delivery and built-in KVM functionality for multi-device setups.
The PRO MAX OLED 271UPJW12 includes MSI OLED Auto Care with dynamic data accumulation compensation to prevent burn-in. This system manages pixel wear without showing intrusive pop-ups to the user. We touched on MSI Launches 24.5-Inch 200Hz Gaming Monitor in our earlier Msi coverage.
MSI confirmed the specifications for this new OLED monitor on July 14, 2024. The company has not yet released pricing or availability details for the PRO MAX OLED 271UPJW12.
