Microsoft is updating Teams with a new standardized previewer for Office files. The feature will cover Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents on both Android and iOS devices.
iOS gets Word preview first
The previewer aims to deliver performance improvements for file previews. Microsoft says users will also get better reliability and a consistent viewing experience across platforms.
The Word previewer on iOS will receive the enhancement first. Support for Android will follow later.
The global rollout is expected to be complete by the end of next month, according to Microsoft.
