Logitech is updating one of its most popular gaming mice with a lighter build and a faster sensor. The G305 X Superlight cuts the weight from 99 grams to roughly 60 grams, making it easier to flick across a mousepad. It also swaps the old AA battery for a USB-C rechargeable cell that lasts at least 130 hours.
Weight drops to 60 grams with USB-C charging
The mouse uses Logitech's Hero 44K optical sensor, which can track up to 678 inches per second. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Lightspeed wireless via a bundled dongle, and a wired mode. An optional receiver unlocks an 8kHz polling rate for lower latency.
Specifications
- Weight: ~60 grams
- Sensor: Hero 44K
- Battery Life: at least 130 hours
- Polling Rate: up to 8kHz (optional receiver)
- Connectivity: Bluetooth, Lightspeed wireless, wired
Logitech claims the G305 X Superlight can gain up to 3.5 hours of use from a two-minute charge. The mouse ships in black or white and is available globally starting June 30. Pricing is set at 79.99 USD (about $79.99), 79.99 EUR (about $92.77), or 69.99 GBP (about $93.93).
The G305 X Superlight modernizes a long-running design without changing its core shape. Logitech kept the familiar ambidextrous layout while shaving off nearly 40 percent of the weight. The result is a wireless gaming mouse that weighs about as much as many wired competitors.
