LAMZU Thorns V2 Gaming Mouse Launches With 50K CPI Sensor and 8kHz Polling

LAMZU has launched the Thorns V2 gaming mouse, a right-handed ergonomic peripheral designed for competitive play. The device ships with a PixArt PAW NEXT I optical sensor that supports up to 50,000 CPI/DPI resolution and features an 8kHz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes.

The peripheral features a PixArt PAW NEXT I sensor with adjustable lift-off distance for competitive gaming.

The mouse weighs 55 grams and measures 124x66x42 mm. It uses the Nordic nRF54H20 controller chip in both the main body and the 2.4GHz receiver to maintain consistent performance across connection types.

Specifications

  • Sensor: PixArt PAW NEXT I with 50,000 CPI/DPI resolution
  • Polling Rate: 8kHz for wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes
  • Controller Chip: Nordic nRF54H20 in mouse body and receiver
  • Switches: 0.176ms low-latency optical micro-switches
  • Dimensions & Weight: 124x66x42 mm, 55g right-handed ergonomic shape

Switches on the Thorns V2 use optical micro-switches with a reported latency of 0.176ms. The scroll wheel also employs an optical encoder design to reduce input lag. A nano skin-friendly coating covers the exterior surface for improved grip and comfort during extended sessions.

The device supports five levels of LOD (lift-off distance) adjustment, allowing users to fine-tune sensor behavior based on their mousepad surface. The 1 CPI/DPI step adjustment provides precise sensitivity control without skipping increments.

LAMZU plans to release the Thorns V2 globally starting May 29. No pricing details have been confirmed at this time. This release continues the Thorns series from LAMZU, a manufacturer known for its gaming mice and accessories.
