Kioxia has expanded its EXCERIA G3 SSD series with a 4TB model, targeting users who need large-capacity storage for AI workloads and gaming. The drive leverages the company’s latest 8th generation BiCS FLASH QLC NAND with 2Tb dies to achieve high density.

New 4TB model uses 8th Gen BiCS FLASH QLC
The EXCERIA G3 4TB is a PCIe 5.0 SSD, delivering sequential read speeds up to 10,000 MB/s and write speeds up to 9,600 MB/s. These figures place it among the fastest consumer SSDs available, suitable for demanding applications like large language model training and high-resolution texture streaming.
Specifications
- Capacity: 4TB
- NAND Type: 8th Gen BiCS FLASH QLC
- Die Capacity: 2Tb
- Sequential Read: 10,000 MB/s
- Sequential Write: 9,600 MB/s
Kioxia designed the drive for AI/LLM creators and gamers who require both speed and capacity. The 4TB version joins the existing EXCERIA G3 lineup, which already offered lower capacities. The new model uses QLC NAND to keep costs manageable while providing ample space for large datasets and game libraries.
The EXCERIA G3 4TB will be available at major e-commerce platforms in China by the end of June 2025. Pricing has not been announced yet.
