Keychron P6 Ultra 8K Keyboard Announced: Full Metal Gasket Design

Keychron announced the P6 Ultra 8K keyboard on April 28. The Keychron P6 Ultra 8K is a full metal CNC aluminum mechanical keyboard featuring a gasket mount, south-facing RGB backlighting, and hot-swappable PCB support. The device supports USB-C wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and BT 5.3 connections with an 8000Hz polling rate and up to 660 hours of battery life.

The keyboard features a full metal CNC aluminum shell with a gasket mount structure. This construction includes six layers of acoustic damping material to control sound. Keychron includes Silk POM series switches in the box, and the PCB supports hot-swappable switches for easy customization. Users can replace the switches without soldering.

Keycap material consists of PBT double-shot keycaps for durability. The device runs ZMK low-power firmware to manage power consumption efficiently. Connectivity options include USB-C wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 5.3. The Realtek RTL8762G MCU enables a polling rate of up to 8000Hz for responsive input.
