Keychron has launched two new mechanical keyboards, the K2 Ultra 8K and K8 Ultra 8K, both supporting an 8kHz polling rate for faster input response. The keyboards run ZMK firmware, which offers flexibility for custom key mappings and wireless configuration.

75% and TKL layouts with six-layer damping
The K2 Ultra 8K uses a 75% layout, while the K8 Ultra 8K adopts an 80% TKL design. Both models feature a construction that combines CNC aluminum alloy with ABS plastic, giving them a sturdy yet lightweight feel.

Inside, the keyboards include six layers of damping material to reduce noise and improve typing feel. They come with Keychron Apex series switches in three options: Red (linear), Tea (tactile), and Banana (early tactile). The keycaps are OSA height PBT double-shot, which resist wear and provide a consistent texture.
Wireless battery life reaches up to 760 hours on a single charge. The keyboards are priced at 119.99 USD each and are available globally starting June 16, 2025.
