HP announced the 734PM monitor on April 17, 2024. The company released the display in China on the same day. HP made the product available on JD.com at that time.
The HP 734PM features a 34-inch screen with a resolution of 3440×1440. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and uses an IPS Black technology. The display provides a brightness level of 400 nits and a contrast ratio of 2000:1. HP equipped the monitor with 10-bit color depth through 8-bit plus frame rate control. The screen covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut.

The monitor includes a 5MP camera with AI noise reduction capabilities. HP installed quad speakers and a noise-canceling microphone in the device. The connectivity options consist of one HDMI 2.0 port, two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports. The system also provides four USB-A ports with KVM support and one RJ45 network port. The stand allows for height adjustment, swivel, and tilt movements.
