Honor has announced the Robot Phone, a smartphone with a built-in 3-axis motorized gimbal. The device is scheduled for release in the third quarter of 2026.
Built-in 3-axis gimbal and 200MP sensor
The Robot Phone features a 200MP primary sensor and a 4DoF motorized system with a 3-axis mechanical arm. Custom micro-motors are 70% smaller than standard modules to fit the slim chassis. The camera supports AI smart tracking for automated subject locking and agentic framing. It also includes Arri color tuning for professional-grade image quality. A cinematic preset called AI SpinShot enables motorized 90- and 180-degree rotations for stabilized one-handed transitions. The camera can physically nod or shake to provide AI-driven feedback.
The Robot Phone will compete with the iPhone 18 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro, and DJI Osmo Pocket series.
Honor has not confirmed the exact launch date beyond the Q3 2026 window.
