Great Wall Shangyi R68 PC Case Launches for Around $17

Great Wall has released the Shangyi R68 desktop case, offering a budget-friendly option for builders who need flexibility in motherboard size. The chassis targets users looking for a compact yet versatile enclosure that supports both Micro-ATX and ITX form factors. This launch provides a low-cost entry point for assembling smaller custom PCs without sacrificing airflow or component clearance.

Mesh panels and 240mm AIO support define the budget chassis

The Shangyi R68 measures 382x229x409mm and features mesh side and front panels to maximize air intake and exhaust. Great Wall designed the interior to accommodate graphics cards up to 320mm in length and CPU coolers up to 175mm in height. The case includes support for up to eight fans, with mounting points at the front, top, rear, and under the power supply shroud.

Cooling flexibility remains a key feature, as the top panel supports two 120mm or 140mm fans, allowing for a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler. The front panel accepts three 120mm fans, while the rear and PSU shroud each take one and two 120mm fans respectively. Storage options include space for two 3.5-inch drives or a combination of one 2.5-inch and one 3.5-inch drive.

The front I/O panel provides one USB-A 3.0 port, two USB-A 2.0 ports, and two 3.5mm audio jacks for basic connectivity. Great Wall listed the launch price at 116 CNY (around $17.05), with the standard price set at 119 CNY (around $17.50). The case is currently available on JD.com in China as of July 9, 2024.
