Google's new laptop platform, called Googlebook, has leaked ahead of a scheduled reveal event on Tuesday. The platform is designed to succeed Chromebooks and is powered by Android and Google Gemini.
Deep Android integration and Gemini AI power the new platform.
Googlebook features deep Android integration and AI-powered capabilities. These include custom widgets driven by Gemini, a Magic Pointer feature, and a Glowbar LED strip. Google will outsource hardware manufacturing to partners such as Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Acer.

The operating system is based on Android, which unifies the mainstream Android OS with ChromeOS. There is speculation that the platform may be called Aluminum OS, reflecting Google's internal efforts to merge Android and ChromeOS into a single system.
The leak comes from XDA, which reported the details ahead of Google's official announcement. Google has not confirmed the platform's name or exact specifications.
