GIGABYTE is extending the burn-in warranty on its latest AORUS ELITE OLED gaming monitor to four years. That is one year longer than the standard three-year coverage. The move addresses a common concern among OLED buyers about long-term panel degradation.
OLED burn-in coverage extended by one year
The monitor in question is the AORUS ELITE OLED FO27Q28G. It is a 27-inch QHD WOLED panel designed for competitive gaming. The model joins a refreshed AORUS ELITE lineup that also includes Mini LED and dual-mode OLED options.
Specifications
- Panel Type: 27-inch QHD WOLED
- Refresh Rate: 280Hz
- Response Time: 0.03ms
- Color Gamut: 99.5% DCI-P3
- HDR Certification: VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500
The FO27Q28G hits a 280Hz refresh rate with a 0.03ms response time. It covers 99.5% of DCI-P3 and carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. These specs target fast-paced titles where motion clarity and color accuracy matter.
GIGABYTE includes AI OLED Care Pro to reduce burn-in risk. The system uses heat pipes, user presence detection, and ambient light adaptation. When the user steps away, the monitor can dim or switch to a pixel-refresh routine automatically.
Other models announced include the FM275K16P, a 27-inch 5K Mini LED monitor with AI super resolution. The FO32U24GP is a dual-mode OLED with DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 support. Both expand the AORUS ELITE series into higher-resolution and larger-screen segments.
Pricing and availability for the FO27Q28G have not been disclosed. GIGABYTE has not confirmed regional launch dates. The extended burn-in warranty applies only to the OLED model at this time.
The FO27Q28G is confirmed as a 27-inch QHD WOLED with 280Hz, 0.03ms response, 99.5% DCI-P3, and DisplayHDR True Black 500. The four-year burn-in warranty is a confirmed feature. Other models in the series add Mini LED and dual-mode OLED options.
