Epson has announced the release of the DS-787W, an A4 document scanner designed for standalone operation. The company confirmed the product launch date as May 28. This new peripheral allows users to scan documents without requiring a connected personal computer.
Features 4.3-inch touch panel and Wi-Fi 5 connectivity
The device features a scan speed of 45 pages per minute for single-sided A4 documents. It achieves 90 sides per minute when using duplex scanning. A 100-sheet paper tray provides capacity for high-volume tasks. The scanner supports various media types ranging from receipts to business cards.
Control is managed through a 4.3-inch touch panel integrated into the unit. Connectivity options include a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port and Wi-Fi 5 support. The scanner can send data directly to network folders or cloud services. The unit measures 296 by 212 by 217 mm and weighs approximately 3.7 kg.
The DS-787W is available for purchase in Japan starting on May 28. Epson has not disclosed pricing information for this model. No other regional availability details have been provided in the announcement.
