Embracer Group announced a corporate rebranding to Fellowship Entertainment on May 20, 2026. The company also confirmed that Coffee Stain Group will spin off into a separately listed entity. This restructuring separates the developer behind titles like Goat Simulator and Deep Rock Galactic from the main holding company.
Coffee Stain Group spins off as separate listed company with major IP portfolio.
The newly named Fellowship Entertainment will oversee over 6,000 employees across approximately 50 companies. The organization retains ownership of major franchises including The Lord of the Rings, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Metro, Dead Island, Killing Floor, Darksiders, Remnant, and Tomb Raider. A previously scheduled triple-A title may shift from a 2025 or 2026 release window to 2026 or 2027.
Embracer stated that the delayed game will likely achieve sales comparable to Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. Some observers speculate this project could be the next entry in the Metro series, though the company has not explicitly confirmed the title. The restructuring aims to provide clearer strategic control for both entities as they navigate a competitive market.
Lars Wingefors, co-founder and Group CEO of Embracer, praised Coffee Stain's talent and intellectual property portfolio. He expressed confidence in Anton Westbergh's leadership strategy for the new independent company. Westbergh described the separation as an exciting step that allows Coffee Stain to focus on supporting developers and engaging with its community directly.
