Pearl Abyss has released patch 1.06.00 for Crimson Desert, introducing significant quality-of-life improvements and new gameplay features across PC and console platforms. The update focuses on streamlining resource management and expanding player mobility through a variety of new mount options.
Players can now recover materials from refined equipment at smithies
The patch introduces a new extraction mechanic that allows players to recover materials from refined equipment at smithies. Special materials such as Artifacts and Aeserion's scale are recovered at 100 percent of the amount used. Common materials like iron ore, copper ore, and bloodstones are recovered at approximately 70 percent of the original quantity.
Players can now register ten new animal types as mounts, including bears, boars, wolves, deer, mountain goats, kuku birds, raptors, camels, lions, and tigers. Saddles are no longer the default appearance for mounts and must be purchased and equipped separately. The update also adds new unarmed combat skills for the character Oongka and a Sigil of Valor item that enables pet dogs to attack enemies.
A new gacha vending machine, described as a claw machine, has been added to the Laughing Marionette location. Players can spend one silver to receive rewards from this new system. The patch aims to address player requests for better resource recovery and expanded exploration options.
Pearl Abyss has not confirmed the specific launch window for future updates beyond this release. The developer continues to iterate on Crimson Desert based on community feedback and wishlist items.
