Cooler Master has opened pre-orders for its MWE Gold V4 power supply units in China. The company initially announced three capacity options for the series, including 750W, 850W, and 1000W models. The 850W variant is currently the only model listed for pre-order, while the other capacities remain in development.

The MWE Gold V4 series features native support for the 16-pin GPU Shield cable. This connector design aims to prevent burning issues caused by improper load distribution in standard 12V-2×6 connectors. The system includes real-time electrical monitoring between the power supply and the graphics card. Status is indicated by LED signals, where a red blinking light shows a current of 9.3 A. A continuous red light and screen blackout trigger when current exceeds 15 A.

The 850W MWE Gold V4 is available for pre-order in China at a price of 659 Yuan CNY (about $96.78). Cooler Master has not yet confirmed the release dates or pricing for the 750W and 1000W units. The company states that these additional capacities are still in development.

The GPU Shield technology addresses a known flaw in the 12V-2×6 connector standard. Cooler Master claims the native support and monitoring features improve safety for high-power graphics cards. The real-time monitoring allows users to track electrical load distribution directly from the power supply unit.
