Colorful unveiled the Magnex XC87 and XC87 Lila keyboards at Computex 2026. The company introduced these models as its first premium magnetic keyboards for gaming enthusiasts. Both units adopt an 80% tenkeyless layout to save desk space while retaining arrow keys.
New gaming peripherals feature custom switches and high polling rates
The standard XC87 model uses Rainstar magnetic switches, and the XC87 Lila variant features Jadeite switches with purple keycaps. Colorful equipped both boards with a control knob for media adjustments and an aluminium body for rigidity. A small OLED display sits on the top deck to show system information or settings.
Both keyboards support 8,000 Hz polling rates for faster input reporting. The internal design uses an MCL chamberless mount structure that reduces case resonance during typing. Wired connectivity remains the only connection method for these models.
The Magnex XC87 and XC87 Lila share identical core specifications despite their different switch options. Colorful also displayed other keyboards at Computex 2026, including the Mech QY98 Pro and the flagship Magnex QY98 Ultra magnetic keyboard. These additional models show a broader focus on high-performance peripherals.
The company launched the Magnex XC87 series globally in June 2026. No pricing details appeared alongside the Computex announcement.
This launch marks Colorful's entry into the premium mechanical and magnetic keyboard market. Colorful has expanded from its traditional focus on graphics cards and motherboards into the peripherals market.
