ASUS ROG announced the ROG XREAL R1 AR glasses at ROG DAY 2026 in Guangzhou. The device is designed for gaming and projects a large virtual screen.

The glasses support up to 240Hz refresh rate and 0.01ms response time. They project a 171-inch virtual screen at 4 meters with a 57-degree field of view. The device weighs 91 grams and features 3DoF spatial anchoring and electrochromic auto-tinting. It includes built-in real-time 2D to 3D conversion via chip and AI. The glasses are compatible with PC, consoles, and handhelds via USB-C. They come with a ROG controller that has DisplayPort 1.4 and dual HDMI 2.0 ports. The design won a Red Dot Design Award.

Pre-orders in China start on May 15, 2026 at 15:30 on Tmall and the ASUS official store. The price is 5999 CNY (about $880). Official sales begin on June 12, 2026 at 20:00.
The ROG XREAL R1 targets competitive gamers with its high refresh rate and low response time. ASUS ROG claims the 171-inch screen and 57-degree FOV cover 95% of the human eye focus area. The glasses aim to eliminate motion blur and stutter for competitive gaming.

ASUS ROG has not confirmed availability outside China.
