ASUS has announced the ROG Strix XG129C, a 12.3-inch secondary monitor designed for information display. The monitor features a 24:9 aspect ratio and capacitive ten-point touch support.
IPS panel with 75Hz refresh and 125% sRGB
The display uses an IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1920×720. It offers a 75Hz refresh rate, 300 nits brightness, and a 1200:1 static contrast ratio. Color coverage is rated at 125% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3. The surface has a glossy finish.
The monitor includes a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode and an HDMI input. It comes with a multi-angle adjustable stand and a one-year subscription to AIDA64 Extreme.
According to ASUS, the 24:9 aspect ratio provides greater vertical display space compared to similar-sized 32:9 secondary monitors. The company also claims that black bars are relatively smaller when displaying standard 16:9 video.
